After trying a lot of after after shave balms, I’ve noticed that they are “new school”  creams to sooth the skin, but what about the old school alcohol-based ones with a “bite” to them?  Well Russell at Shaving Stuff tried the the John Allan’s splash and was both shocked and surprised:

Lucky for me … I’m heading to Vancouver tomorrow which has two of the four places where I can get John Allan’s stuff in Canada (the other two are in Toronto where I’m moving shortly) and I intend to pick some up and give it a shot.  What’s the worst that can happen …
